In 1989 the Loma Prieta Earthquake hit San Fransisco . From where i lived the city looked like a ghost town... no cars on the feeways as the bay bridge had partially collapsed and the new Embarcadero Freeway was never to be used.... The spirit of the City thrived .... some fled but most stayed and enjoyed out brief period of Isolation.... this song was written in late november or early december 1989
